07 | Portrait Paintings | I invited several friends and family members into my atelier for a painting session. They sat for four to seven hours in front of me reading, working on their laptops and talking with me while I tried to paint their actual appearance. I also wanted to reveal their character with the use of bright and expressive colors. The windows in the background are a citation to the landscape windows used in the portraiture of the Renaissance period, whicht tells a small story about the portraited person's current thoughts and feelings. | Oil on Canvas | (60 x 80 cm to 70 x 90 cm)
